ST. HELENS RECS

route from the west:
Join the A580(T) East Lancashire Road and turn right onto A570(T) at a BP garage. You reach a one-way system and go into Greenfields Road. Go along this road, keeping in the right hand lane and at bollards on the right, turn right (double back) into Denton's Green Lane and Ruskin Drive is on the left. Along Ruskin Drive and SLOWLY over a hump in the road into the car park. You then have to walk over the bridge in the right hand corner and into the front of the pavilion.

route from South Wirral and North Wales:
Make way to the M56. Go along here and continue to Runcorn exit (A557). Drop down slip road to traffic lights at roundabout. Take third exit and then climb up the hill and follow the road round with 'ICI' on the left. Follow signs for Liverpool Airport and take the turning towards Runcorn Bridge. Traffic joins from the right, go over the bridge. Go straight on and take the first turn off to St. Helens onto a new road. Go along here and follow signs for St. Helens and Southport. On reaching St. Helens town centre, follow the signs for A570(T) to Southport. You eventually come to Lingholme Road with a park on the left hand side. Go along here and then left into Denton's Green Lane (a one-way system). Turn left into Ruskin Drive and SLOWLY over a hump in the road into the car park. You then have to walk over the bridge in the right hand corner and into the front of the pavilion.

NOTE:
On return journey, turn left out of Ruskin Drive and (i) straight on to the East Lancashire Road or (ii) right into Tennis Street, the right again to traffic lights. Turn right and left at next traffic lights and then follow signs for home (Chester and North Wales).
