route from the north:
M6 southbound to junction 26. Go down to a roundabout and briefly onto M58, go under M6 to another roundabout and left on towards A577 junction. Turn left and on to junction with B5206. Turn left into Moor Road and after going over M58, turn left into Church Street. Pass Orrell Station and keep left into Winstanley Road. Go along Winstanley Road and turn left into Pemberton Road (A57), crossing over the M6. Follow the road and on reaching the Venture pub on the left, St Matthew's Church and Highfield CC are on the right.

route from the west:
Join the M58 at Switch Island. Proceed along M58, going under the M6.and left on a slip road to A577. Turn left and on to junction with B5206. Turn left into Moor Road and after going over M58, turn left into Church Street. Pass Orrell Station and keep left into Winstanley Road. Go along Winstanley Road and turn left into Pemberton Road (A57), crossing over the M6. Follow the road and on reaching the Venture pub on the left, St Matthew's Church and Highfield CC are on the right.

Follow the A580 (East Lancs Road) eastwards and turn left onto A571 at Carr Mill Dam. Follow the road through Billinge and on until reaching a T junction (Winstanley Road). Turn left and immediate right into Pemberton Road (A571), crossing over the M6. Follow the road and on reaching the Venture pub on the left, St Matthew's Church and Highfield CC are on the right.

route from the east:
M6 northbound. Exit M6 at junction 26. Drop down to a roundabout, turn right under M6 and then left on slip road to A577 junction. Turn left and on to junction with B5206. Turn left into Moor Road and after going over M58, turn left into Church Street. Pass Orrell Station and keep left into Winstanley Road. Go along Winstanley Road and turn left into Pemberton Road (A571), crossing over the M6. Follow the road and on reaching the Venture pub on the left, St Matthew's Church and Highfield CC are on the right.

OR
Follow the A580 (East Lancs Road) westwards to M6 junction. Go around the roundabout back towards Manchester but turn left immediately and follow signs to Bryn (A49). Follow the A49, through Bryn and pass the M6 junction. A49 is Warrington Road. As you approach the outskirts of Wigan, turn left onto Little Lane. Follow Little Lane to its junction with Billinge Road (A571). Turn left. Pass Pemberton Station and Highfield CC is on the left. If you reach the Venture pub on the right, you've just missed the club on the left by 200 yards.

route from North Wirral:
Pick up the M53 towards and into the Wallasey Tunnel (£1.40 toll payable on entry). On exit, pull over to the left and go up the slip road which swings left. A road joins from the right at the top. Go straight on for a short distance and then fork left at traffic lights. You are now on Stanley Road. Go straight on for half a mile and at a slanting junction with traffic lights (Commercial Road/Melville Road) - pub on left, turn right. Straight on, pass the 'Wacky Warehouse' (ex Mons) pub on left, through traffic lights and roundabouts to lights by GIRO. Straight on and turn right at the roundabout onto Dunnings Bridge Road. Go straight on through sets of traffic lights and through the lights at Switch Island. Join the M58 eastbound. Go under M6 and then left on slip road to A577. Turn left and on to junction with B5206. Turn left into Moor Road and after going over M58, turn left into Church Street. Pass Orrell Station and keep left into Winstanley Road. Go along Winstanley Road and turn left into Pemberton Road (A571), crossing over the M6. Follow the road and on reaching the Venture pub on the left, St Matthew's Church and Highfield CC are on the right.

Pick up the M53 towards and into the Wallasey Tunnel (£1.40 toll payable on entry). On exit pull over to the left and go up the slip road which swings left. A road joins from the right at the top. Go straight on for a short distance and then fork left at traffic lights. 50 yards after the fork, turn left into Boundary Street at traffic lights. Go on and through lights (Commercial Road), under a bridge and turn right at next lights into Derby Road (steel fence opposite). Go straight ahead, and after about 3 miles, at the Seaforth Container base on the left go down the side of the flyover and turn right under it and join Princess Way towards the M57/M58 junction at Switch Island. Go through the lights at Switch Island. Join the M58 eastbound. Go under M6 and then left on slip road to A577. Turn left and on to junction with B5206. Turn left into Moor Road and after going over M58, turn left into Church Street. Pass Orrell Station and keep left into Winstanley Road. Go along Winstanley Road and turn left into Pemberton Road (A571), crossing over the M6. Follow the road and on reaching the Venture pub on the left, St Matthew's Church and Highfield CC are on the right.

route from South Wirral and North Wales:
M56 to M6 northbound. Exit M6 at junction 26. Drop down to a roundabout, turn right under M6 and then left on slip road to A577 junction. Turn left and on to junction with B5206. Turn left into Moor Road and after going over M58, turn left into Church Street. Pass Orrell Station and keep left into Winstanley Road. Go along Winstanley Road and turn left into Pemberton Road (A571), crossing over the M6. Follow the road and on reaching the Venture pub on the left, St Matthew's Church and Highfield CC are on the right.
