route from the east and south east:
M6 northbound and onto M58 westbound. Take exit 3 onto A570(T) towards Ormskirk. Take first left at next roundabout. Through traffic lights passing 'Stanley Gate' pub on the right, then Edge Hill College also on the right. Follow the A570 through the town centre to its junction with the A59 and turn right onto the A59. Pass the A570 junction and proceed towards Burscough passing the turning to A5209 (Parbold) on the right. Pass junction with B5241 from the right and go over a canal bridge to a mini roundabout. (If you then go over a railway bridge, you've missed the roundabout). Turn right at the roundabout into School Lane. Go under a railway bridge and the ground is on the right.

A580(T) East Lancashire Road westbound and turn right onto A570(T) towards Skelmersdale and Ormskirk. Go under M58 and first left at next roundabout. Through traffic lights passing 'Stanley Gate' pub on the right, then Edge Hill College also on the right. Follow the A570 through the town centre to its junction with the A59 and turn right onto the A59. Pass the A570 junction and proceed towards Burscough passing the turning to A5209 (Parbold) on the right. Pass junction with B5241 from the right and go over a canal bridge to a mini roundabout. (If you then go over a railway bridge, you've missed the roundabout). Turn right at the roundabout into School Lane. Go under a railway bridge and the ground is on the right.

route from the Wirral:
Pick up the M53 towards and into the Wallasey Tunnel (£1.40 toll payable on entry). On exit, pull over to the left and go up the slip road which swings left. A road joins from the right at the top. Go straight on for a short distance and then fork left at traffic lights. You are now on Stanley Road. Go straight on for half a mile and at a slanting junction with traffic lights (Commercial Road/Melville Road) - pub on left, turn right. Straight on, pass the 'Wacky Warehouse' (ex Mons) pub on left, through traffic lights and roundabouts to lights by GIRO. Straight on and turn right at the traffic lights (Netherton Hotel on left) onto Dunnings Bridge Road. Go straight on through sets of traffic lights and through the lights at Switch Island. Go on through Maghull towards Ormskirk. The dual carriageway eventually ends and you reach a roundabout. Take the second exit and follow the A59. Pass the A570 junction and proceed towards Burscough passing the turning to A5209 (Parbold) on the right. Pass junction with B5241 from the right and go over a canal bridge to a mini roundabout. (If you then go over a railway bridge, you've missed the roundabout). Turn right at the roundabout into School Lane. Go under a railway bridge and the ground is on the right.

Pick up the M53 towards and into the Wallasey Tunnel (£1.40 toll payable on entry). On exit pull over to the left and go up the slip road which swings left. A road joins from the right at the top. Go straight on for a short distance and then fork left at traffic lights. 50 yards after the fork, turn left into Boundary Street at traffic lights. Go on and through lights (Commercial Road), under a bridge and turn right at next lights into Derby Road (steel fence opposite). Go straight ahead, and after about 3 miles, at the Seaforth Container base on the left go down the side of the flyover and turn right under it and join Princess Way towards the M57/M58 junction at Switch Island. Go through the lights at Switch Island. Go on through Maghull towards Ormskirk. The dual carriageway eventually ends and you reach a roundabout. Take the second exit and follow the A59. Pass the A570 junction and proceed towards Burscough passing the turning to A5209 (Parbold) on the right. Pass junction with B5241 from the right and go over a canal bridge to a mini roundabout. (If you then go over a railway bridge, you've missed the roundabout). Turn right at the roundabout into School Lane. Go under a railway bridge and the ground is on the right.

route from South Wirral and North Wales:
Make way to the M56. Go along here and continue to Runcorn exit (A557). Drop down slip road to traffic lights at roundabout. Take third exit and then climb up the hill and follow the road round with 'ICI' on the left. Follow signs for Liverpool Airport and take the turning towards Runcorn Bridge. Traffic joins from the right, go over the bridge. Go straight on and take the first turn off to St. Helens onto a new road. Go along here and follow signs for St. Helens and Southport. On reaching St. Helens town centre, follow the signs for A570(T) to Southport. Cross over A580(T) - East Lancashire Road and continue on A570(T) towards Skelmersdale and Ormskirk. Go under M58 and first left at next roundabout. Through traffic lights passing 'Stanley Gate' pub on the right, then Edge Hill College also on the right. Follow the A570 through the town centre to its junction with the A59 and turn right onto the A59. Pass the A570 junction and proceed towards Burscough passing the turning to A5209 (Parbold) on the right. Pass junction with B5241 from the right and go over a canal bridge to a mini roundabout.
