route from the east:
Pick up the M62 westbound then M57 northbound or M58 westbound towards the A59 (Switch Island). At Switch Island, take the A567(T) and go straight on through two sets of traffic lights and pass the 'Park Hotel' and golf course on the right. At traffic lights and 'Netherton Hotel', turn left into Netherton Way. Keep on this road (passing the 3rd XI ground and GIRO on the left) for a couple of miles, through roundabouts until you reach traffic lights (A5058 junction) at the 'Wacky Warehouse' (ex Mons) pub (far right corner). Turn right and then, keeping to the left, turn left at traffic lights into Hawthorne Road. After a few yards, turn right into Wadham Road. Entrance to the ground is on the right.

OR
Pick up the A580(T) East Lancashire Road and turn right onto the A5058 (Queen's Drive). Go straight on, over a flyover, through lights with 'Wacky Warehouse' (ex Mons) pub on the left and, keeping to the left, turn left into Hawthorne Road. After a few yards, turn right into Wadham Road. Entrance to the ground is on the right.

route from the Wirral and North Wales:
Pick up the M53 towards and into the Wallasey Tunnel, (£1.40 toll payable on entry). On exit, pull over to the left and go up the slip road which swings left. A road joins from the right at the top. Go straight on for a short distance and then fork left at traffic lights. You are now on Stanley Road. Go straight on for half a mile and through a slanting junction with traffic lights (Commercial Road/Melville Road) - pub on left. Go straight on and after more lights, turn right into Wadham Road. The ground is half way up on the left.

3rd XI ground:
former Civil Service Ground, Drummond Road, off Edge Lane, Thornton, Liverpool L23 9RR

route from the north:
Join the A565(T), go along the Formby by pass, through Ince Woods and through a 90º right bend to traffic lights. Go through them and at second set of lights, turn left into Edge Lane (shops on opposite corner). Follow the road, pass a church on the right after houses, pass St William Road, and turn right into Drummond Road. The entrance to the ground is on the left.

route from the east:
Pick up the M62 westbound and then M57 northbound or join the M58 westbound towards the A59 (Switch Island). At Switch Island, take the A567(T) towards Liverpool. At the next lights, turn right into Copy Lane (police station on corner). Follow the road round to traffic lights and turn left into Buckley Hill Lane. On to a T junction and turn right into Edge Lane. Follow the road and before the built up area, turn left into Drummond Road. The entrance to the ground is on the left.

route from the south and North Wales:
Pick up the M53 towards and into the Wallasey Tunnel (£1.40 toll payable on entry). On exit pull over to the left and go up the slip road which swings left. A road joins from the right at the top. Go straight on for a short distance and then fork left at traffic lights. 50 yards after the fork, turn left into Boundary Street at traffic lights. Go on and through lights (Commercial Road), under a bridge and turn right at next lights into Derby Road (steel fence opposite). Go straight ahead, and after about 3 miles, pass the Seaforth Container base on the left. Straight on over the flyover, through several lights, pass 'Liver' pub on left corner by lights, then Merchant Taylor's school on left by lights. Straight on and at next major junction (lights), turn right following signs to Southport. Third exit at next roundabout and straight on into Moor Lane. Through traffic lights at Chesterfield Road, pass sports field on the left and at next traffic lights, turn right into Edge Lane (shops on right hand corner). Follow the road, pass a church on the right after houses, pass St William Road, and turn right into Drummond Road. The entrance to the ground is on the left.
