AINSDALE
1st XI ground:route from the north:
Follow A565 towards Formby and Liverpool. On entering Ainsdale Village, continue
straight at roundabout passing the village green on the right. At Kenilworth
Road traffic lights, continue straight forward and the
entrance to the club is 50 yards up on the right.
If using the Coastal Road from Southport, go straight on at the Pontin's roundabout towards Liverpool. At traffic lights, turn left and after about half a mile, the entrance to the club is on the left.
route from the east:
M58 westbound to the end at Switch Island. Turn left onto A567(T) towards Litherland and
then at first set of traffic lights, with a police station on the right corner, turn
right. Follow the road to the right and on to traffic lights. Go straight on, through a
bend, pass two pubs on the right and at traffic lights, turn right. Follow the road
through a 90º left bend and on through Ince Woods. Reach a dual carriageway, through
lights, a roundabout, more lights and another roundabout. Pass RAF Woodvale on
the left and through next set of traffic lights. After about half a mile, the
entrance to the club is on the left.
OR
M58 westbound to exit 1 and take the road (Deyes Lane) to Maghull. Straight on, through
lights over A59, pass shops on the right and at next lights, turn right onto Liverpool
Road (A567). Keep to left at fork and go straight on for about 3 miles and then turn left
at the 'Scarisbrick' Arms pub onto B5195. This is a country lane and goes over the Formby
Moss. Go straight through and you reach the A565(T) at traffic lights by a Tesco's. Turn
right and go through a roundabout. Pass RAF Woodvale on the left and through
next set of traffic lights. After about half a mile, the entrance to the club is
on the left.
OR
A580(T) East Lancashire Road westbound to M57. Right onto M57 towards Southport and on to
end of motorway at Switch Island. Turn left onto A567(T) towards Litherland and then at
first set of traffic lights, with a police station on the right corner, turn right. Follow
the road to the right and on to traffic lights. Go straight on, through a bend, pass two
pubs on the right and at traffic lights, turn right. Follow the road through a 90º left
bend and on through Ince Woods. Reach a dual carriageway, through lights, a
roundabout, more lights and another roundabout. Pass RAF Woodvale on the left
and through next set of traffic lights. After about half a mile, the entrance to
the club is on the left.
route from the Wirral and North Wales:
Pick up the M53 towards and into the Wallasey Tunnel (£1.40 toll payable on entry). On
exit pull over to the left and go up the slip road which swings left. A road joins from
the right at the top. Go straight on for a short distance and then fork left at traffic
lights. 50 yards after the fork, turn left into Boundary Street at traffic lights. Go on
and through lights (Commercial Road), under a bridge and turn right at next lights into
Derby Road (steel fence opposite). Go straight ahead, and after about 3 miles, pass the Seaforth Container base on the left. Straight on over the flyover, through several lights,
pass 'Liver' pub on left corner by lights, then Merchant Taylor's school on left by
lights. Straight on and at next major junction (lights), turn right following signs to
Southport. Take the third exit at next roundabout and on to lights by garage on the
left. Straight on and follow the road through a 90º left bend and on through Ince Woods.
Reach a dual carriageway, through lights, a roundabout, more lights and another roundabout.

about half a mile, the entrance to the club is on the left.
3rd XI ground:
St Mary's College OBCC,
Gorsey Lane, Hightown
route from the north:
Follow A565 from Formby to traffic lights at 'Weld Blundell' pub on the left. Turn
right into Orrell Hill Lane (B5193). Proceed to T junction ('Pheasant' pub on
the left) and turn left into Moss Lane. Follow the road through the S bends, a
sweeping right bend, and, as you reach a 90º left bend, go straight on into Gorsey Lane. The ground is on the right by the junction with Sandy Lane.
route from the east:
M58 westbound to the end at Switch Island. Turn left onto A567(T) towards Litherland and

right. Follow the road to the right and on to traffic lights. Go straight on
(A5207), through a
bend with cemetery on the right, pass two pubs on the right and at traffic lights, turn
left onto A565. Go 200 yards and at another set of traffic lights, turn right
into Virgins Lane. Go to the end and turn through a 90º right bend. Follow the
road (now Back Lane) with a wall (Crosby Hall) on the left on to a T junction
(Little Crosby Church on the left). Turn right into Moss Lane (B5193). Follow
the lane through bends and, as you reach a 90º right bend with trees on the
left, turn left into Gorsey Lane. The ground is on the right by the junction
with Sandy Lane.

village (30 mph - CAMERAS) and a 90º right bend followed by a medium left into Moss
Lane (Little Crosby Church on the right). Follow the lane through bends and, as
you reach a 90º right bend with trees on the left, turn left into Gorsey Lane.
The ground is on the right by the junction with Sandy Lane.
