It is with regret that notice has been received of the death of John 'JK' Whalley, He was 81.

John played first team cricket at Northern until the late 1970s. He was a life member of the club, and was the club's president in 1974.

Friends and colleagues in the Liverpool Competition extend their condolences to John's family and the Northern Club.
