Liverpool Competition and New South Wales

The link between the Liverpool Competition and New South Wales in Australia continues to flourish with Leigh's Liam Zammit being the latest to have been given a contract by the state side.

Of the 15 full contract players named for the 2004-2005 season, six have played in the Competition, Shawn Bradstreet (Northern - 1996), Brad Haddin (Wallasey - 2000), Philip Jaques (Northern - 1999), Grant Lambert (Huyton - 2004), Greg Mail (Northern - 1998) and Liam Zammit (Leigh - 2004). Jaques has also played for Northamptonshire and Yorkshire.

Previously, Richard Chee Quee (Liverpool - 1989 and Hightown - 1992) had also represented the state.
