neighbours meet in final

Wirral neighbours, New Brighton and Wallasey will meet at the Oval in Wallasey in the final of this year's Chester Cup after winning their semi finals today.
New Brighton ended Highfield's cup run by winning by 4 wickets. Highfield were all out after 43.4 overs for 131 with Daniel Glassey 23 and Robert Alcock 20, Mike Murtagh taking 3-9 from his 9 overs
14 year old John While top scored with 31 in New Brighton's reply with twin brother, David, hitting 16 in a total of 134-6 from 24.3 overs. Martin Jump claimed 3-27 for Highfield.
Wallasey beat Liverpool by 7 wickets after dismissing the visitors for 109 in 38.3 overs, Owen Jones 25, Kurum Makol taking 5-15 and Andy Gill 3-16.
Ben Parker (39*) and Ian Wilson (29*) saw Wallasey through to 110-3 after 22.4 overs to set up a Wirral final and guarantee that there will be a new name on the trophy.
