Formby won their first senior trophy after beating Birchfield Park in a low scoring affair in the final of the Embee Trophy.
Asking Birchfield Park to bat on a 'green top', the Formby bowlers gradually went through the visitors' batting order, dismissing them for 72 in 28.2 overs with Chris Jones taking 3-17 and Neil Edwards 3-15.
Formby lost Ross Byrom (0) and Rod McGreevy (1) for 11 before James Sen (33) and Mike Poole added 52. Dave Jones (4*) joined Poole (30*) as the pair took Formby to victory at 75-3 after 22.3 overs with the match ending at 4:15 pm.
After the match, Neil Edwards (57) announced his retirement and his intention to 'take up umpiring' next season.
