Liverpool U15 XI reaches national final at Bournemouth

Last Tuesday, Liverpool Cricket Club's under 15 XI won the northern regional section of the Portman Cup, the National Knock-out Trophy.

They beat Ellerslie from Nottinghamshire in the semi final (batting second, Liverpool required 147 from 20 overs, winning with 3 balls to spare) and Wath from Yorkshire in the final (again batting second, they required 105 and won with 2 overs remaining).

Liverpool now play in the national final at Bournemouth on 27th August 2003.
