Fred applies the Laws Arizona style

An e-mail came through today from MCUA umpire, Fred Charters. He and his wife, Sue, spend their winters in Arizona in the United States where Fred keeps in touch with his umpiring by officiating in the Arizona Cricket Association.

Fred started umpiring his American season last weekend with two games in temperatures in excess of 90ºF and has another two this weekend, one of them in Tucson, some 110 miles south of his base in Phoenix.

Before leaving for the States at the end of the English season in September, Fred invested in a laptop computer so he can keep in touch with the L&DCC and cricket worldwide.
