Ormskirk capture Fleetwood duo
Friday 18th October 2002

Despite recent speculation that he may be leaving Ormskirk, David Snellgrove will remain as captain in their bid for a repeat of their 2001 ECB Premier League success.

The club has strengthened its bowling department with the capture of slow left armer Martyn Farrell and seamer Paul Mullen from First Division side, Fleetwood Hesketh.

Farrell, a member of the LCB side last season along with David Snellgrove, has taken 192 league wickets at an average of 17.18 in the four years that Fleetwood Hesketh has been in the Competition whilst team mate Mullen has claimed 100 wickets at 18.20 apiece.

"We hoped Martyn would come over to Brook Lane last year but he decided to stay at Fleetwood for a further year. He knows the lads and he's looking forward to next season," said Snellgrove, "and Paul wants to play a higher standard in the ECB Premier League."
