Premier
Leagues Questionnaire 2002
Tuesday 1st
October 2002
This notice is a repeat of one posted on Friday 16th August 2002 and is for those of you who missed the original and would still like to return the completed questionnaire.
The Liverpool Competition has received the following memorandum from Mr Frank Kemp, Cricket Operations Manager, Recreational Cricket at the ECB at Lord's, dated 14th August 2002 and addressed to all Premier League Secretaries.
It reads:
Subject: Premier Leagues Questionnaire 2002
The Premier Leagues Questionnaire will be conducted on a rather different basis this year, as we hope that most responses can be sent in electronically via the Play-Cricket web site. This will not only save time and money but will allow the responses to be captured directly for analysis, rather than have to be entered individually after they are sent to Lord's.
I am again asking the club captains to encourage their players to let us have their views, and I enclose a letter to each club which I would be grateful if you could send to the captain or the club's League representative.
We will put a link to the questionnaire form onto each Premier League web site on Play-Cricket and also onto all the active sites of the Premier League clubs. This will allow players, officials and supporters to complete the form by going to www.play-cricket.com/survey which they can do even if they are not registered on Play-Cricket.
It will still be possible to send in a paper response, but he have decided not to go to the expense of having a specially printed form. I enclose a copy of this year's form and would ask that you copy it on request if League officials want to complete a form but do not have access to Play-Cricket. I have sent the captains a paper copy as well so that they can do the same for club members.
The analysis of the views on Premier League cricket is an important element of the information that needs to be given to the First Class and Recreational Forums, and to the Management Board, to show the results of the investment in Premier Leagues. The more responses that we receive the more useful the information becomes, and I hope that you will encourage the clubs to respond positively.
Many thanks for your help with this year's questionnaire.
Regards
Frank Kemp
