Wallasey face Bowdon in Quinn Thomas Cheshire Knockout
Sunday 13th January 2002

Losing finalists in 2001, Wallasey face Bowdon in the second round of the Quinn Thomas Cheshire Knockout, both sides receiving a bye in the first round. If Wallasey are successful, there could be a repeat of last year's final with a third round tie at home to Didsbury. Caldy likewise miss the first round and then entertain Alsager. New Brighton aren't so lucky, facing Hale Barns at Rake Lane in the first round and then Crewe. Former L&DCC sides Birkenhead Park and Oxton battle out a first round derby at the Park.

For the first time, matches will be of 45 overs per innings instead of 40 and also the 'overseas player ordinarily resident in UK' rule has been introduced. Full draw.
