First Division - Maghull take title from Worsley's grasp

Ashar Zaidi was the architect of Maghull's home win against Highfield that took them to the top of the First Division and promotion to the ECB Premier League in only their third season in the Competition. Ashar claimed 7-51 out of the visitors' 132 and then went on to hit 93* in Maghull's 132-0 in 17.4 overs with captain Dickon White (35*).

Worsley and Liverpool were also hit by the weather which left Worsley being promoted and Liverpool having to remain in the First Division for another season.
